What is Onyx & Jade Tea Company?
Onyx & Jade Tea Company is a Black-owned, family-owned tea company founded in Temecula, California. We create original loose-leaf tea recipes built around flavor, recognizable ingredients, daily use, craftsmanship, and legacy.
Are these original Onyx & Jade recipes?
Yes. Our teas are developed as Onyx & Jade Tea Company original recipes.
We build each blend ingredient by ingredient to create a complete flavor, aroma, body, and finish rather than simply placing our name on someone else’s finished flavored tea.
Is your tea loose leaf?
Yes. Our teas are sold as loose-leaf blends rather than disposable tea bags.
Loose-leaf tea gives the ingredients more room to expand and allows customers to adjust the amount used for their preferred cup strength.
Do your teas contain natural or artificial flavors?
Our current original recipes are developed from individually selected tea leaves, herbs, flowers, roots, spices, and fruit peels rather than relying on generic flavored premixes.

Where can I find the ingredients?
The customer-facing ingredient list is provided on each product page and product package.

Choosing and Preparing Tea
Which teas are caffeine-free?
Daily Tea and Night Tea are caffeine-free.
Other Onyx & Jade blends may contain green tea, oolong tea, yerba mate, or another naturally caffeinated ingredient. Check the individual product page before purchasing.
How should I prepare my tea?
Follow the preparation instructions provided on the individual product page and package.
Different blends require different amounts, water temperatures, and steeping times. A delicate tea-leaf blend should not automatically be prepared the same way as a caffeine-free herbal blend containing roots, flowers, or spices.

What size cup are the instructions based on?
Most Onyx & Jade preparation instructions are developed around a 12 oz cup unless the product page or package states otherwise.
Can I add honey?
Yes. Our Pure Honey was selected to pair naturally with loose-leaf tea.
Prepare and strain the tea first, then add honey to taste. Beginning with approximately one teaspoon per 12 oz cup is a good starting point.
Can the tea be prepared over ice?
Many blends can be enjoyed over ice.
Prepare the tea slightly stronger than usual, strain it thoroughly, and pour it over a full glass of ice. Follow the individual product instructions first because steeping requirements vary by blend.
Package Sizes and Storage
What tea sizes are available?
Availability varies by product. Current formats may include:
- 30g resealable pouch
- 30g filled color tin
- 60g refill pouch
- 120g refill pouch

How many cups does each package make?
The number of cups depends on the serving measurement required for the specific blend.
For example, a tea prepared with 6g per cup will provide approximately:
- Five 12 oz cups from 30g
- Ten 12 oz cups from 60g
- Twenty 12 oz cups from 120g
Actual yield may vary slightly depending on how the tea is measured and how strong it is prepared.
How should I store loose-leaf tea?
Keep the tea sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, moisture, and strong odors.
Do not store loose-leaf tea uncovered or near products with powerful aromas because dry tea ingredients can absorb surrounding odors.
Pure Honey
Is your honey flavored or infused?
No. The current Onyx & Jade honey product is Pure Honey without added tea flavoring.
Why has my honey crystallized?
Crystallization is a natural process and does not mean the honey has spoiled.
Place the closed jar in warm water and allow the crystals to soften gradually. Avoid overheating the honey.
Can infants have Pure Honey?
No. Honey should never be given to a child younger than 12 months.
Orders and Shipping
How long does order processing take?
Most orders are prepared for shipment within three to five business days after payment is confirmed.
Presale, first-batch, limited-release, or made-to-order products may have a different processing timeframe stated on the product page.
Business days do not include weekends or federal holidays.
How much does shipping cost?
Available shipping methods and rates are calculated and displayed during checkout before payment is submitted.
Will I receive tracking information?
When tracking is available, it will be emailed to the address used during checkout after the shipping label is created.
Tracking activity may take additional time to appear after the label is issued.
Is local pickup available?
Local pickup is available only when it appears as an option during checkout.
Do not travel to a business or mailing address unless you have received a pickup confirmation containing specific instructions.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Contact orders@onyxandjadetea.com within 24 hours of placing the order.
We will make a reasonable effort to help, but changes and cancellations cannot be guaranteed after processing has begun.
Can tea or honey be returned?
Because tea and honey are food products, they are final sale unless the order arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or otherwise qualifies for a remedy under applicable law.
Do not send a product back without contacting us first.
What should I do if my order is damaged or incorrect?
Email orders@onyxandjadetea.com within five calendar days of delivery.
